No par 5’s but the course is protected against very low score by small undulating greens. It was designed by Harry Colt who also designed Wentworth and is the home course of Peter Baker. A very good test of golf.

LLANYMYNECH GOLF CLUB

The Front 9 on the hill was constructed in the late 1960's and early 1970's. It is set among some notable sites of historic and scientific interest. You will notice on the 4th, 5th and 6th especially, remnants of the hill fort defences where Caractacus stood against the Romans in A.D.50. Also you will play possibly the only hole in the world where you putt out in a different country to which you started the hole.

The back 9 at Llanymynech is formed mainly from the original 9 holes built in the 1930's. It is from these holes that the really spectacular views of the surrounding landscape can be appreciated, especially the 12th tee from where you can see up to seven counties on a clear day & maybe even as far as Snowdonia.
